Product Description

Astilbe is a perennial with showy plumes that will make your garden look amazing. It will do well both in shaded and sunny areas. In maturity it will reach height of around 60 cm so will look great both in the middle and back of the border.

Sowing: Growing Astilbe from seed is easy. Sow the seeds indoors in early spring on the surface of a good quality compost. Do not cover with soil as the seeds need light to germinate. Put in a warm light place at temperature of around 22-25°C. The seeds should germinate between 28 to 35 days. Once the seedlings have a few true leaves, they can be potted on. Once all danger of frost has passed, the young plants can be planted out in final position.
