This is a striking, deciduous tree with large flowers in bright orange-reddish colours hence its common name Flame of the Forest. When mature, it will produce large clusters of flowers that will make any garden look impressive. The leaves also have nice, unusual shape. It is a tropical plant so must be kept frost free.
Papaya is a popular tropical plant which will grow very fast with large, magnificent leaves that will give that exotic look to any garden. In colder climates they need to be kept frost free and will grow into tall, handsome plants.
Areca Palm is a popular house plant that will grow up to 2-2.5 m tall in full maturity. Lots of stems emerge from the base to produce graceful, arching fronds that look a bit like bamboo. It is relatively low maintenance and is popular for its air purifying ability. It will also make any interior look elegant and sophisticated.
The Portia Tree (Thespesia populnea), also known as the Indian Tulip tree or Pacific Rosewood, is a fast-growing, evergreen tree known for its showy, hibiscus-like flowers and heart-shaped leaves. The flowers are bright yellow with a dark maroon or red centre when they first open, but they can change colour to a deeper maroon, pink, or purple as they age.
Acacia Catechu, also known as Senegalia Catechu, is a medium sized, thorny, deciduous tree. Numerous pale-yellow flowers grow in slender, cylindrical spikes that emerge from the leaf axils. The leaves are alternate and bipinnately compound, consisting of many small, linear leaflets that are a pale green colour. It will make a great colourful addition to any garden.
Acacia nilotica, also known as the gum Arabic tree, babul, or thorn mimosa, is a thorny, flowering tree that features a dense, spherical, or umbrella-shaped crown and bright golden-yellow, sweet-scented flowers that grow in characteristic globulous (spherical) heads. It will make a great colourful addition to any garden.
