The packaging of this product is fully compostable, so once you have finished with it, it can be added to the compost heap, so nothing goes to landfill.

This is an elegant perennial border plant for spring blooming. Also known as Columbine, it will bloom in giant long spurred flowers of mixed delicate colors.

Sowing:  Growing Aquilegia from seed is easy. The best way to start the seeds is to sow them either in autumn or spring directly in flowering position. Germination takes between 15 to 25 days. Once the seedlings are strong enough, if grown indoors, they can be potted up until they are ready to go out in flowering position.

 Flowers: May to late June

Tip: Aquilegia seeds will benefit from a cold period (stratification) to germinate better.
