The Blue Jacaranda (Jacaranda mimosifolia) is a stunning, fast-growing, deciduous tree, renowned for its spectacular display of vibrant, lavender-blue flowers. It is a relatively low maintenance tree that requires well-drained soil and minimal pruning. The tree Is suitable for a bonsai project and will look amazing once established and starts flowering.

Sowing: Before sowing the seeds, they should be soaked in warm water for around 24 hours.  After that, sow the seeds on the surface of good compost and cover lightly with vermiculite. Keep the growing medium moist but do not overwater. Place in a bright and warm location and maintain moisture. Seedlings should appear in around 2 to 4 weeks. Once the seedlings are strong enough, they can be potted on.

Tip: Jacaranda seeds need light to germinate.
