This is an evergreen shrub with pretty, delicate foliage and spectacular blooms that resemble a bottlebrush hence its common name. It will flower all summer making any garden look stunning. The flowers attract hummingbirds, butterflies, and bees.

Sowing:  Growing Bottlebrush from seed is very easy. The seeds are very small so they should be sprinkled on the surface of good growing medium, which needs to be kept moist but not overwatered. Place in a bright and warm location. Seedlings should appear in around 7 to 30 days. Once the seedlings are strong enough, they can be potted on.

Tip: In long periods of very low temperatures, the shrub should be protected from the frost. It will tolerate mild, short frost.

Alternatively, it can be grown in containers and put indoors in winter.
