Calendula is a very popular border flower and very easy to grow. This quilled petals variety will bloom in bright orange double flowers and in maturity will reach height of up to 50 cm. Great for flower beds  and containers and will also make a splendid cut flower.

Sowing: Sow the seeds in containers of fine compost under cover in early spring. Germination will take between 7 and 14 days. Once the seedlings have developed true leaves, pot on. The young plants can be planted out once all danger of frost has passed. Alternatively, the seeds can be sown in flowering position in autumn for an early display the following spring.

 Flowers: From July to  September/October

Tip: Plant in full sun for best results and deadhead regularly.
