The packaging of this product is 100% compostable and environmentally friendly, so once you have finished using it, it can be added to the compost heap of buried somewhere in the garden where it will fully decompose, so nothing goes to landfill.

Cannas are vibrant tender perennials that produce bold leaves and showy flowers on sturdy stems. It is a stunning summer bedding plant for both containers and borders, but will also do well in cool conservatories in summer.

Preparation: Soak the seeds in tepid, water for about two days. Add some warm water each day.

Sowing: Sow the seeds in sowing compost and place them in either a propagator or cover with a plastic bag to maintain temperature and humidity.

Required temperature to germinate: 21⁰C

Potting on: Once small shoots appear, pot the seedlings on in individual pots. Seedlings should be kept at temperature of around 16⁰C.  Plant out when all danger of frost has passed.

Tip: The seeds can be gently scarified to help with germination.
