The packaging of this product is fully compostable, so once you have finished with it, it can be added to the compost heap, so nothing goes to landfill.

Papaya is a popular tropical plant which will grow very fast with large, magnificent leaves that will give that exotic look to any garden. In colder climates they need to be kept frost free and will grow into tall, handsome plants.

Sowing:  Papaya is easy to grow from seed. Before sowing, soak the seeds in tepid water for around 24 hours. Sow the seeds indoors or in a propagator at no less than 22-25°C temperature. Sow on the surface of the compost and lightly dust with compost or some vermiculite. Germination can take between 2 to 6 weeks. Pot on once the seedlings are large enough and place in a light, warm place. In summer, the plants can be taken outside once danger of frost has passed.

Tip: Papaya plants do not like root disturbance so they should be potted in large enough pots where they will grow into mature plants.
