The Flame Tree, also known as Flamboyant Tree, is a tropical tree which produces large, striking fiery red flowers and will blossom from spring through the whole summer. It will thrive in a sunny, sheltered position and will need to be kept frost free in the colder months. This magnificent tree will make any garden look stunning.

Sowing:  Before sowing, soak the seeds in tepid water for 24 to 48 hours until they swell.. After that sow the seeds in good compost around 2.5 cm deep. Keep the growing medium moist but do not overwater. Place in a bright and warm location at a steady temperature of around 20°C. Seedlings should appear in around 14 to 21 days. Once the seedlings are strong enough, they can be potted on.

Tip: The Flame Tree is suitable to grow as a bonsai indoors.
