Fodder beet Red Mammoth is a cylindrical root crop, red, with a greenish tip and juicy pulp. Part of the of the root grows above the soil surface. The variety is also valued for its large edible leaves which animals love to graze on.

Sowing: Sow from early April to mid-May in well prepared bed. Fodder beet needs a fine, firm, moist seed bed with good soil-seed contact to achieve a uniform seed germination and plant growth.
