Fodder beet Yellow Eckendorf is a cylindrical root crop, yellowish orange, with a greenish tip and light yellowish, juicy pulp. Part of the of the root grows above the soil surface. Each root weighs approximately 250–950 g. The variety is valued for its stable yield, resistance to flowering, uniformity of root crops, and high nutritional value.

Sowing: Sow from early April to mid-May in well prepared bed. Fodder beet needs a fine, firm, moist seed bed with good soil-seed contact to achieve a uniform seed germination and plant growth.
