Gazania Splendens is a gorgeous annual flower, which will bloom in very large multicoloured blooms. It is heat and sun resistant so will thrive in full sun and in higher temperatures. These stunning flowers will flower from early summer right through to the first frost. They will reach height of up to 30 cm so are suitable both for containers and the border. Will make a lovely cut flower, too.

Sowing: Gazanias are easy to grow and the seeds can be sown directly into a well prepared bed where they are to flower. They will do well in any well-drained soil in full sun. Sow direct only when the soil is warm enough and all danger from frost has passed. Alternatively, they can be grown inside in containers and then planted out. Sow the seeds using fine seed compost and pot on once the seedlings are large enough and have developed true leaves. Germination can take between 6 and  14 days at temperature from 18°C to 25°C.
