This is an easy to grow climbing lily which blooms in stunning, large, frilled yellow and orangey reddish flowers. Great to grow in a sheltered area of the garden or in the conservatory. It will need some good support once mature but will make your garden look amazing giving it that romantic, tropical look.

Sowing: Sow indoors at any time. Soak the seeds in warm water for 24 hours. Then sow on the surface of moist, well-drained seed compost. Just cover the seeds lightly with soil and keep moist at temperature of 22-24°C. Germination should begin within a few weeks but can be erratic and take a lot longer. Once the seedlings have developed 3-4 leaves, transplant in larger pots. Grow on for a year before potting on.

Tip: Gloriosa Carsonii is a tender plant and must be protected from frost.
