Product Description

Lavatera is a popular and attractive summer border flower with large, shiny, open flowers. It will reach height of up to 1 m so will look great at the back of the border. It will make a lovely cut flower, too.

Sowing: Lavatera is very easy to grow. In early spring sow the seeds under cover in trays of fine compost in depth of around 1 cm, keep moist and they will germinate within 7 to 14 days at temperature of around 18°C to 25°C. Once the seedlings are big enough to handle, pot on in larger pots. Plant out in late spring in flowering position.

 Flowers: July to September/October

Tip: Grow in light, moderately fertile, well-drained soil in full sun.
