LOVAGE – LEVISTICUM OFFICINALIS – 280 HIGH QUALITY HERB SEEDS

A hardy perennial, grassy plant that will reach height of up to 1.5 m. The leaves and roots can be added to salads, sauces, meat dishes, etc. It has aromatic foliage with a rich celery-like flavour. The roots are also a good antiseptic. Stores well if dried.

Sowing: In autumn or early spring scatter the seeds on the surface of seed trays and cover with a thin layer of soil or perlite. Keep moist and at a temperature of 15-20 C and the seedlings should appear within 7 to 10 days. Transplant once the seedlings are large enough to handle.

Tip: If sown in spring, the seeds will benefit from a cold period (stratification) before sowing.
