The packaging of this product is fully compostable, so once you have finished with it, it can be added to the compost heap, so nothing goes to landfill.

Mina Lobata, also known as Spanish Flag, is an elegant annual climber with striking blooms in the shape of curved spikes with flowers that start red and fade to a lighter colour in maturity. Great for walls, fences, pergolas and arches.

Sowing: Mina Lobata seeds are best started indoors in containers from March onwards. Soak the seeds in tepid water for around 24 hours prior to sowing. Sow the seeds using fine seed compost around 1.5 cm deep and keep at temperature of around 22°C to 25°C.  Keep moist but do not overwater. Seedlings should appear between 7 and 14 days. Transplant once the seedlings are large enough. The young plants are frost tender, so plant outside once all danger of frost has passed.

Tip: Plant amongst white climbers to achieve breathtaking effect.
