Nasturtium is one of the most popular summer climbing plants. This variety will produce large round leaves and single spurred yellow flowers. The plants will grow up to 2 m in height, so will look great on arches, trellis, pergolas, etc.

 Sowing: The seeds can be sown in early spring under cover in seed trays of fine compost. Prior to sowing, the seeds should be soaked in lukewarm water for 24 hours to help with germination. Keep moist and warm and the seeds will germinate within 7 to 14 days. Once all danger of frost has passed, the young plants can planted outside in flowering position.

 Flowers: July to September/October

Tip:  Both the leaves and flowers of nasturtiums are edible and will add lovely colour to  any salad or dish.
