 Nigella is one of the most popular summer bedding flowers. This variety will bloom in deep blue colour on feathery foliage putting on a stunning display. It will make a great addition to the cut flower or cottage garden. In maturity will reach height of up to 40 cm. Hardy annual.

Sowing: Nigella is very easy to grow from seed. In early spring sow the seeds in trays of fine compost and cover lightly with soil. Keep moist and the seeds will germinate between 7 and 14 days.  Plant the young plants out in April in flowering position.

Flowers: July to September/October

Tip: For an early summer bloom sow the seeds in autumn in flowering position.
