Black Madras

Ornamental Rice will make the garden look stunning from spring until frost with its gorgeous pointed, upright, elegant green leaves generously streaked and shaded with burgundy-purple. It makes a great cut flower, too. Reaches height of up to 40 cm.

Sowing: Sow the seeds in sowing compost around 1 cm deep and maintain soil temperature of around 20 degrees. Seedlings should appear within 2 weeks.

Ensure that temperatures are mild and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Black Madras is a half hardy plant.
