The packaging of this product is fully compostable, so once you have finished with it, it can be added to the compost heap, so nothing goes to landfill.
This is a very popular perennial tropical climber that will bloom in striking large flowers and has got beautiful foliage, too. In warmer climates it will produce edible fruit. This beautiful plant will make every garden look breathtaking.
Sowing: Before sowing the seeds, they should be gently scarified, then soaked in tepid water for 24 hours. After that sow the seeds in good compost placing them just under the surface. Keep the growing medium moist but do not overwater. Place in a bright and warm location. Seedlings should appear in around 4 to 6 weeks.
Once the seedlings are strong enough, they can be potted on.
Tip: In long periods of very low temperatures, the plant should be protected from the frost. It will tolerate mild, short frost.
