A beautiful small clump forming perennial border plant with long straight foliage, freely producing panicles of sky blue flowers that will bloom prolifically from midsummer and into autumn. 

 Sowing: Flax seeds are best sown directly into flowering position as the young plants do not like to be disturbed. In spring prepare a bed with fine soil and sprinkle the seeds then cover with a light layer of soil. Keep moist until the seeds germinate within two weeks. Thin the seedlings as required and water regularly but do not overwater.

Flowers: July  to September/October

Tip: Sow flax seeds in autumn for an early spring bloom.
