Product Description

Pheasant’s Eye flowers are beautiful and elegant and will bloom in a deep red colour. They will grow to a mature height of about 10 inches (30 cm). Pheasant’s Eye will require little attention, once established, and can be used in mixed flower beds,  as a border plant, in containers and also in the wildflower or cottage garden. It is an annual that will bloom profusely during the whole summer right through to the first frost.

Sowing: The best way to start the seeds is to sow them either in autumn or spring directly in flowering position. Cover with fine soil. Germination takes between 15 to 25 days but once the seeds germinate, the plants will grow fast. Alternatively, the seeds can be started indoors 6 weeks before the end of the frost season and planted out when danger of frost has passed.

 Flowers: From June to  September/October

Tip: As Pheasant’s Eye plants tilt easily, they can be planted densely among other flowers to preserve the shape.
