A large and vigorous tropical ginger with truly stunning red flowers. A must grow if you have a sunny and warm spot in the tropical garden or conservatory. Also great and long lasting as a cut flower

Sowing: Growing Red Torch ginger from seed is relatively easy. Soak the seeds in clean, tepid water for around 8-10 hours. Then sow them in mixture of potting compost and sand. Keep moist, but do not overwater. Keep the pots in a warm place at temperature of around 21-25°C.  In a  few weeks seedlings should start to appear. Once the seedlings have developed 3-4 true leaves, pot them on in larger pots.

Tip  Keep Red Torch ginger seedlings moist but never overwater as they can develop fungal diseases easily.
