An unusual pot plant with large balloon flowers on small, compact plants, suitable for growing indoors and outdoors in pots in summer.

Sowing: Growing calceolaria is relatively easy. Sow the seeds in trays of fine compost. Sprinkle on the surface and do not cover with soil. Keep moist but do not over water. The seeds will germinate  within 14 days of sowing. When the seedlings are strong enough to handle, they can be transplanted in larger pots and kept in warm, light position. Once all danger of frost has passed, they can planted out in flowering position. Or, they can be grown indoors as house plants.

Tip:  Slipper Flower seeds are extremely small so they must be handled with care. Put the bag against a white background to see the seeds, then scatter or wash gently on the growing medium.
