The packaging of this product is fully compostable, so once you have finished with it, it can be added to the compost heap, so nothing goes to landfill.

Spanish Cherry (Mimusops elengi) a medium-sized, evergreen, tropical tree. The leaves are oval, glossy and dark green. The star-shaped, cream flowers form clusters. The fruits are oval and orange-red when ripe. Both the fruit and the seeds are edible and have a wide range of uses in medicine and cooking.

Sowing:  Before sowing the seeds, they should be gently scarified, then soaked in cold water for 24 hours. After that sow the seeds in good compost around 2.5 cm deep and at temperature of around 23-25°C. Keep the growing medium moist but do not overwater. Place in a bright location. Seedlings should appear in around 21 to 90 days.

Once the seedlings are strong enough, they can be potted on.

Tip: In long periods of very low temperatures, the tree should be protected from the frost. It will tolerate mild, short frost.
