The White Guava tree is a delightful, exotic, tropical tree which will produce lovely leathery leaves, pretty flowers, and sweet guava fruit. It’s a must for the tropical garden.

Sowing: Growing White Guava from seed is relatively easy. Place the seeds in well-drained, fine compost, cover with some compost and keep moist at regular temperature of 15°C to 20°C. The seeds should germinate between 4 to 8 weeks, but sometimes may take longer. Once the first true leaves have developed, pot on the seedlings in larger containers.

Tip: To speed up the germination and soften the hard coating of the seed, prior to sowing, the seeds can be soaked in tepid water for a few days or soaked in boiling water for 5 minutes.
