Phoenix Acaulis, also known as the Dwarf Date Palm, is an interesting species from the Date Palm family. It has no formed trunk, just lots of spikes coming from the base. For this reason, it is also called “trunkless” palm. Great for growing both indoors and outdoors.
Areca Palm is a popular house plant that will grow up to 2-2.5 m tall in full maturity. Lots of stems emerge from the base to produce graceful, arching fronds that look a bit like bamboo. It is relatively low maintenance and is popular for its air purifying ability. It will also make any interior look elegant and sophisticated.
A popular hardy fan palm that will grow very tall in milder climates. It should be started in a pot and, once the plant has well established and grown to at least 1.5 m of height, it can be planted out permanently if required. It will tolerate subzero temperatures of up to -6°C.
An incredibly attractive and unusual palm with a bottle shaped trunk and a crown that holds up to five leathery, pinnate fronds supported by a slender, waxy crown. The Bottle Palm is a tough plant that can take drought and coastal conditions without a problem.
This is an easy to grow hardy lily which blooms in stunning, large, cobra shaped flowers. The leaves are also showy and will add structure and tropical look to the garden. It will do well in a sheltered part of the garden with dappled shade. It will require good drainage and kept moist but not wet during the winter dormancy.
The Kusum Tree is a striking tree with reddish bark and red leaves when fully matured. It will grow up to a height of 3 m or can be restricted in a large pot and kept as a house pant or a patio tree.
